Course days
- Day 1 – Theory and mannequin head practice.
- Day 2 – Recap of theory, theory exam and live model application
Course days can be booked separately or consecutively.
Courses run with a minimum of 1 student.
Assessment
To take place on the second day
- Theory exam consisting of 43 MCQ’s
- Successful live Demonstration on model
Model required
Yes
Students will have the option to bring their own model or request one. If students are bringing their own model, a patch test must be carried out on the model at least 24 hours prior to the training day. We will also arrange for a patch test to be sent to your model.

What can I do with this qualification?
This is the perfect qualification if you want to work as a home, mobile or freelance lash technician, with an agency or on a self-employed basis.
How do I find work once I am qualified?
Once you have successfully completed your qualification, you can join our private Whatsapp group where you can apply for future upcoming junior positions within our company to help you gain work experience and to build your portfolio.
We will help you to set up your business as a self-employed therapist and offer support throughout your journey.
Do I need insurance to work?
Yes.
You will need to obtain public liability insurance before you can start work as a lash technician.
You can purchase this through Associated Beauty Therapist (ABT) insurance who offer our students a 10% discount. To do this just go to www.abtinsurance.co.uk and complete the online application quoting reference code: Code to be provided upon successful completion of our course.

- A patch test must be carried out 24 hours before starting the course for your models (if any).

Do I need any prior beauty experience to enrol?
No prior experience is required. Our beginner course starts from the foundations, so you can enrol with no background in beauty.
Is the ABT certificate accepted by insurance providers?
Yes. The ABT accreditation is widely recognised by UK insurance companies including Salon Gold, Towergate, and ABT’s own insurance scheme. You will be insurable to practice professionally upon completion.
What is the difference between classic, hybrid, and Russian volume lashes?
Classic lashes use a single extension per natural lash for a natural, defined look. Hybrid combines classic and volume for a textured finish. Russian volume applies multiple fine extensions per natural lash for a fuller, more dramatic result. Our training covers all three techniques.
Do you teach vegan lash extension techniques?
Yes. All products used in our training are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. We specifically teach students how to select and use ethical materials — a valuable differentiator when marketing to clients who prioritise sustainable beauty.
How many students are in each session?
We keep class sizes small to ensure quality instruction. Numbers are confirmed when you enquire, as sessions vary. However there will be a maximum of 3 students per session.
How do I get to the studio from Liverpool Street?
Exit Liverpool Street station via the Broadgate exit (Exit 4). Once outside on Eldon Street, walk west toward Moorgate and turn left onto Blomfield Street or Eldon Street to reach the north side of the circus. Once inside the circus you should be able to locate the Salisbury House flag. Head inside and check in at the reception desk.
